2. Memorial Service for Toby Eckersley.

The memorial service for Toby Eckersley will be held at Southwark Cathedral at 3pm on Monday 22nd October. It is open to anyone who would like to attend.


3. Walworth's Got Talent. It's BACK - Don't miss out! Saturday 6th October.

4. Royal British Legion, Braganza St - Events Around the Commemoration of the Centenary of the end of WW1.

An invitation to a series of events from the Royal British Legion on Braganza St SE17 (34-40 Braganza Street SE17 3RJ).

The RBL Southwark Community Club are holding events to commemorate the end of WW1 and raising funds for the Macmillan Nurses.
The WW1 events are:

  • 6th October a Sausage Sizzle from 12 noon till 3pm.
  • Wednesday 10th October decorate your poppy 12 to 2pm.
  • Saturday 13th October evening Sausage Sizzle from 9pm until 12.30am.
  • Wednesday 17th October afternoon tea party with the mayor and council members; school children will be coming along to sing, read poetry and display art work 12 to 3pm.
  • Saturday 20th October evening entertainment to celebrate the end of the war from 9pm until 12.30am.
  • and finally Wednesday 24th October a showing of the film War Horse.

All these events will be at the RBL Club (34-40 Braganza Street SE17 3RJ).
We do hope you can attend any of them; we would love to see you and the club is now a Community Club so anybody can come along when we are open and have a drink a chat and enjoy themselves.





Walworth History Festival: UPDATE - 30th September 2018


Thanks so much to everyone who helped with and came along to the History Festival. We were just so delighted with how it all went and we estimate that all in all around 1,000 people came along to the exhibition or took part in the events, talk and lectures.
