If you would like to see the final list of nominations and entries that the society has, in conjunction with many local people in SE17, submitted for buildings across Walworth and the Old Kent Road area as part of the Local Listing consultation, the pdf file is below.
We hope that many of these will be accepted by Southwark Council, especially those that are not listed and/or do not site within a Conservation Area. Some examples of these wonderful local buildings are shown in the image below.

The Walworth Society 
I would like to comment in support of ‘Townsend Primary School’. I have worked there for many years and it has been a pleasure, but sadly, the school is due for closure in the Summer of 2023. The biggest fear for everyone in the area, is what is going to happen to this beautiful historic old building. Will it like other buildings be turned into flats? Let’s hope someone who really cares and takes an interest, fights to make it something for the community.
