7. Health & Safety Training Courses From Notting Hill Genesis.
Message from Notting Hill Genesis:
Due to popular demand our contractor, Equans will be doing emergency first aid at work and the Level 1 health and safety courses again. Both of these are one-day courses and are suitable for anyone interested in starting a career in construction. Completing the Level 1 health and safety course will enable you to then take your test to gain your Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card, a requirement to work on-site. The first aid course is open to anyone.
The date for this is yet to be confirmed but should be starting in August. Spaces are limited and will be on a first come, first served basis. They will be held at the Notting Hill Genesis office at The Old Pharmacy, 2nd Floor Taplow, Thurlow Street, London SE17 2UQ.

| 8. UK Buster Keaton Society Present: Blinking Blizzards – Saturday 13th July The UK Buster Keaton Society. Quarterly meeting of the society dedicated to the appreciation of the silent comedian. After a selection of Keaton shorts and a break, the second half will be a screening of Free and Easy (1930). This was Keaton’s first talkie, made by MGM and directed by Edward Sedgwick. When Elvira Plunkett wins Gopher City’s beauty contest, the prize is a trip to Hollywood. The event organisers assign her an agent, Elmer Butz (Keaton), to accompany her and her mother to Tinseltown.The meeting runs from 4pm to 7pm.
