The programme is locally delivered, with sessions taking place in Bermondsey, and is designed to help young people rebuild confidence, develop practical employability skills, and move towards positive next steps. Meek pharmacist Warren Quimby (Basehart) is married to Claire (Totter), who is constantly unfaithful and finally runs off with a shady businessman, Barney Deager. When Deager is shot dead, the police put Quimby in the frame for his murder. John Berry was a promising young director until the McCarthy witch-hunts forced him to re-locate to France.
