2. Support for Ukraine.

If you would like to give support to Ukraine, Southwark Council have created a page that gives options of how to help.

4. Free Business Training For Aylesbury Residents

Trampoline are looking for 12 motivated entrepreneurs to join their next free Start-up Launchpad Programme. This is a comprehensive 5-month Business Support Programme for Aylesbury Residents wanting to set-up or scale up their enterprise.

6. Free Craftivism Session

Community Southwark are holding a free Craftivism session in the run up to the May local elections: “Craftivism puts the activism into craft form to influence the people you need to in a new way. You will be creating your own crafts for whoever you want to influence with the message you want to get across to them”.

7. The Giving Lab – Offer.

8. Walworth Town Hall – refurbishment starts 7th March.

News that Walworth Town Hall and former Newington library refurbishment begins Monday 7th March; due to complete Oct 2023. Includes new Community Space on the ground floor of former library. Newsletter below from developer General Projects and Conomar, the construction contractor.




9. Bikes For Business

Following the presentation at our February meeting a little information from Bikes For Business:

MP Smarter Travel are working with Southwark Council on a new business initiative, Bikes for Business to assist local business improvement districts and local businesses to switch to more environmentally friendly deliveries. Right now, local businesses can get free advice on purchasing their own cargo bike or using a cargo bike service, and up to £700 in subsidies through the Bikes for Business project
 
What can cargo bikes be used for?
Cargo bikes are used for all sorts of deliveries, including flowers, wholesale food and drink, printed materials, couriers, trades (electricians, plumbers, window cleaners, handy people) and more! Businesses in the Walworth area that have already benefitted include Louie Louie, Orbit Beers, Dr Juice and East St Market Traders.
