4. Planning Objections.

The Walworth Society is encouraging members to object to the proposed changes to

318-320 Walworth Road (22/AP/0183) owing to the harm we believe that it does to the character of the Walworth Road Conservation Area and adverse impact on the amenity of the residents living close by.

Though there are improvements to the front of the building, these are outweighed by the wholesale demolition of much of the remaining historic fabric and the significant increase in the size of the structure at the rear. The very large rear structure harms the character of the Walworth Road Conservation Area by introducing a non-traditional rear to the building and affects the amenity of residents in Abbey Court.

Click here for more details on this planning application as well as details of our objections to the erection of a large advertising board at 418 Albany Road (22/AP/0960).

To object:

a. Go to the Southwark Council Planning Portal

b. Type in the appropriate application number.

c. Go to the box Make a comment.

d. Enter your details – these will not appear on the pubished comment – and put down the grounds as to why you are objecting. Thanks so much!
